Saturday at 10:00AM PST, Xen1.SJC1..Net will undergo an OS and Xen upgrade.
All VMs will be shutdown, the server will rebooted, and the boot drive swapped, then the server will be restarted.
The downtime of this will be how long it takes for the host node to shut down all VMs and reboot.
If there are no unforseen problems,
Saturday at 12:00PM (noon) PST, Xen3.SJC1..Net will undergo the same upgrade procedure.
After each process, each VM will be checked to verify it has booted normally, and fixed if necessary.
Recently the SolusVM Control Panel has been updated to supporting the following OS Distributions:
CentOS 5.9 32 or 64bit
CentOS 6.3 32 or 64bit
Debian 6.0 32 or 64bit
Fedora 18 32 or 64bit
ScientificLinux 6.3 64bit
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 32 or 64bit
Ubuntu 12.10 32 or 64bit
Additional NON-Supported templates such as ArchLinux, Gentoo, OpenSUSE, and Slackware will be available, but these are not officially supported by SolusVM, or there is likely some issues with the templates (mainly non-working IPv6).
Please do NOT do an OS re-install prior to the above upgrade processes being performed, as only some of the above distributions will boot properly with the existing architecture.
Please note, that a SolusVM Control Panel "re-install" will wipe all data from the VPS. It is thus required you make your own external backup of any user data prior to a re-install process being performed.
This maintenance will bring the Xen1, Xen3, and Xen4 servers up to date and assure they are running an identical setup.
The Xen2 server will be upgraded at a later date, as that server will require an extended downtime to complete the process.
